Dr. Vincent Castro and Dr. Denise Gonzales are Licensed Clinical Psychologists and Co-Founders of Behavioral Healthcare Partners. At Behavioral Healthcare Partners we specialize in providing Individual, Couples, and Family Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Older Adults.

Dr. Castro has over 35 years of experience practicing in a variety of clinical settings including both inpatient and outpatient programs, residential and community based programs, school based programs, and in private practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA and earned both a Master's and Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology - Los Angeles. He provides treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. His clinical interests include Working with Military and Law Enforcement, Trauma, Family Discord, Work Related Challenges, Stress, Health Related Issues, Marital Conflict, and Anger Management.
Throughout his career, Dr. Castro has strived to provide respectful and professional care by creating a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental experience where individuals can grow and reach their full potential. Dr. Castro has extensive experience in providing evidenced based treatments including Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Client Centered Supportive Therapy. Services are solution focused and are provided to meet each client's unique needs. He has extensive experience in providing clinical training and supervision and has held the academic rank of Adjunct Associate Professor at CSPP-LA. Dr. Castro provides psychological consultations and interventions for physician referrals. Dr. Castro has extensive experience serving military members (active duty and retired) and their families as well as community first responders. Dr. Castro is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Dr. Castro is active in the community serving on a community-based disaster response team and he enjoys active participation in both tennis and pickleball clubs.
Dr. Gonzales has over 28 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life's challenges with compassion, insight, and respect. She is known for creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. She holds a Master of Science in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Gonzales is trained in a range of evidence-based and insight-oriented approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems, and Trauma-Informed CBT. Her integrative style allows her to tailor treatment to each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gonzales has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, day rehabilitation programs, inpatient and outpatient care, residential treatment, school-based services, hospital settings, and within law enforcement and military environments. She has also provided consultation in media and entertainment, and currently offers services in private practice.
Dr. Gonzales specializes in working with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD and Trauma, Life Transitions, and Stress. She has extensive experience supporting military service members (active duty, pre- and post- deployment, and retirement) and law enforcement professionals. She also works with clients navigating anger, learning challenges, parenting concerns, child and adolescent behavioral issues, college student challenges, cultural and identity-related experiences, work/life balance, workplace stress, women's issues, grief and loss, chronic pain and medical concerns, relationship and marital challenges, aging-related concerns, and life transitions.
She is passionate about working with people from diverse backgrounds and across all stages of life. Her goal is to help clients build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Outside her professional work, Dr. Gonzales enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, relaxing at the beach, and planning her next travel adventure.
